Agia
Napa Monastery is the medieval archaeological landmark
of Agia Napa. The Monastery was built around 1500A.D.
There are many charming chapels in Agia Napa, many built during
the Byzantine period. Agios
Antonios is a Byzantine chapel built in the 16th century
situated on the boundaries of Paralimni and Sotira. There
is also Agii
Anargyri chapel in the eastern part of Agia Napa, In the
western part of the village, you will find Agia
Varvara Chapel.
The
Makronissos Tombs are at the west of Agia Napa, at the
locality of Makronissos. The tombs, in general, consist of
a stepped road which leads down to a rectangular entrance.
Most of the chambers are almost identical.
Another historical place of interest is Agia
Mavri, a monolith in the western part of Agia Napa.
